Water and electricity deserves everyone respect. This Tuesday from Noon to 2 pm CST, the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) collaborating with the Association of Marina Industries (AMI) will present a webinar concerning Marina Electrical Safety.
This is an important subject to all of us and I would encourage everyone to register and participate. The speaker is Chris Dolan, I have heard him before and found him to be knowledgeable and a very good speaker; I am sure you will find value in this seminar.
You can register at https://cc.readytalk.com/r/migokhxo2iro.
There are many other valuable resources out there from the NEC codebooks and National Electrical Manufactures Association web site to your local entities and electrician.
Our recommendation is to put a scheduled maintenance checklist in place with regular walking inspections of your facility. Whether you have a Marina, RV Park or home, regular maintenance is the first step to a safe facility, including reducing your overall maintenance costs. Make sure to include your power pedestal(s) in all inspections with a detailed, preventative maintenance program including a visual inspection of the wire connecting points once a year as required but industry standards.
Let us know if we can be of any assistance with your HyPower units. Our PowerSnap technology makes it easier to do inspections and maintenance but it all starts with a focused plan.
